Alderbrook
School - Contact Options
At the bottom of this page you will find the postal address of
the school and an interactive map to help
locate us. Remember that you can join the
Alderbrook School Mailing list (Kaleidos)
to keep up-to-date with all the latest news
and events happening at the school.
The first point of contact at the school is your child’s College PA. The table below gives names and contact details. The only exception is if you are reporting a pupil absence. (see below).
The College PA will either deal with the matter themselves or pass the enquiry to the appropriate member of staff. If it is a pastoral issue this will be the Form Tutor in the first instance or depending on the severity of issue it may be more appropriate to speak to the Director of College. The subject teacher or leader of that subject will be the appropriate person if it relates to a Curriculum issue.
Please do not come to the school to see any member of staff without prior appointment.

To report a pupil absence please telephone extension 275 or email absence@alderbrook.solihull.sch.uk and leave a message detailing your child’s name, form and reason for absence and anticipated length of absence. Pupil absences must be reported on each day of an absence and confirmed by letter on their return to school. For the safety of your child we will endevour to text you if your child is absent from school and we have not heard from you.
From September pupils will not be permitted to use the school’s main reception. This will be an area for parents and visitors to the school. When collecting your child for a medical appointment etc. please arrange to meet them outside Cartwright Hall as this enables you to stop easily and the pupils to shelter if there is inclement weather.
Pupils have their own separate reception area but for the safety of all pupils, parents are not allowed access to this area. However if parents have a need to visit the school please use the main reception.
Parents must not, because of Health and Safety, wander around the school.
In September we will be collecting e-mail addresses for parents and hope soon to have the facility to email letters to groups of parents for a variety of reasons e.g. trip letters, parents evening.
Please visit our website www.alderbrook.solihull.sch.uk for information about the school including: newsletters, afterschool activities, term dates etc.
